Luxury Game Lodges — These lodges are normally located in spectacular surroundings with breathtaking views, often in close proximity to bush airstrips within the parks to allow the guest direct and easy access to the game viewing areas, and belong to a few exclusive lodge groups. They offer the ultimate in Tanzanian safari luxury.
Standard Game Lodges — Permanent structures located within or in close proximity to the national parks offering amenities equivalent to that of a three star hotel. Accommodation is mostly double rooms with en suite bathrooms, normally air-conditioned unless at a higher elevation, with restaurant and bar facilities. A swimming pool can also be a feature. These lodges are the “bread and butter” of the industry and provide to the guest a very popular
Permanent Tented Camps — Large individual canvas sided tents, installed upon wooden floor generally offering a standard of accommodation and amenities similar to that of the “standard lodges” or in some cases superior. All units feature an en-suite bathroom and hot water. A good quality restaurant and bar with outside location for a log fire is centrally located within the camp. Permanent tented camps are generally found in a location within proximity of the resident animals. Visible twenty four hour security is provided at all time to ensure the safety of the individual guest.
Seasonal Tented Camps — These camps are relocated in respect to the seasonal migration of the animals such that the visitor is always in an prime position to experience the sounds of the African bush. Providing similar levels of amenities and accommodation as the “permanent camps" the seasonal tented camp has proven to be very available in areas.
Rest Camp — Within the national parks system of Tanzania there remains the budget accommodation option of “ adventure camping” in the public campsites. These campsites provide basic facilities such as share toilets, showers and wash areas and in some cases a central restaurant area and bar. Accommodation is provided by means of a standard two man tent and matresses while meals are served outside under the African sky using tables and chairs. In the case of rainy weather a mess tent will be provided. A cook and driver/guide accompany all “adventure” safaris.

This gives everybody flexibility and avoids disappointments of non availability of nominated lodges at certain times of the year. Your specific accommodation details however, will be confirmed at the time of finalizing your itinerary. We predominantly use “ standard game lodges” or "tented camps" unless a guest has a specific requirement.
